Our Team

Alyssa Gonzalez (She/Her)
Co-Owner & Community Director

Alyssa is a community organizer and advocate in the outdoor industry primarily working with BIPOC, FTWN-B, and Queer communities. Through her work with brands, organizations, and individuals — she hopes to elevate, educate, and empower marginalized communities and highlight diverse joy on bikes. In 2016, Alyssa moved to Colorado and found her true passion for working in the outdoor industry. She started cycling in May of ‘21 and loves mountain and gravel biking + bike touring. When she’s not in the shop, she’s probably (very publicly) listening to a true crime podcast, telling her cats how cute they are, or cooking a delicious meal for friends and family.

Kolby Clements (He/Him)
Co-Owner & Service Manager

Kolby is a proud Kansan, avid soccer fan, and talented cyclist + bike mechanic. He believes that bikes are for everyone and is passionate about educating people on how to work on their own bikes so they feel more confident and safe on the trails. Kolby loves experimenting with bike builds and occasionally dabbles in the single speed life. He most recently built up a Chumba Sendero to take with him on all his outdoor adventures. When he’s not tinkering on bikes, you can find him fighting off cuddles from his cat Hobie, birding via the Merlin app, or staying weirdly up to date with pop culture news.

HOME TO

A creative outlet to channel her experience as a frame builder for several notable high-end titanium and steel brands, Significant Other Bikes is a personal venture created by Ashley King. SigO is her own space to play with and push the boundaries of bicycle design and performance while always striving to fabricate two-wheeled works of art that demand attention.
