We teamed up with Ride with GPS to hide 100 special caps designed by Chas Christiansen in top secret locations around the city.
How to Participate
1. Caps will be hidden and ready for you to find first thing in the morning on Saturday, May 18.
2. Get on your bike and pedal hard to get to the cap locations first.
3. Snap a photo and tag @ridewithgps if you snag a cap.
FAQs:
Where are the caps hidden?
Locations TBA
How many caps can I take?
Thanks for asking. One cap per person, please. While it might be fun to ride to all of the clues listed on the map (and we encourage you to!), we ask that you only take one of the caps so that plenty of folks have the opportunity to snag one.
The cap is too small/big. Can I exchange it for a different size?
These caps are one size only. No exchanges. Maybe gift it to a buddy with a bigger/smaller head? That would be a nice thing to do.
I'm at the location of the clue, but I can't find the cap?!
You might have to peer under a rock or pull back some foliage to find the cap; that said, most are lightly hidden, so if you can't find it after looking around a little bit it's probably safe to assume that somebody else got there first and that you should keep on pedaling to the next clue on the map.
How will I know if a cap at a certain location has already been found?
We'll be posting updates when caps are found via our Instagram account, so be sure to follow along. However, since we're relying on people to let us know when they find one, there may be a delay in us sharing this information.
What if two people find the cap at the exact same time?
Might we suggest a friendly game of ro-sham-bo? Best out of three.
